what we do

Rebuilding Together Kansas City has a vision: that every home in our community is safe, accessible, and a healthy environment. We know that the ability for families and individuals - particularly seniors and those living with disabilities - is often determined by the health and accessibility of the home. That's why we are passionate about what we do. We help our low-income neighbors repair, maintain, and keep their homes so that they can retain the dignity we believe every person deserves.

CAPABLE (Community Aging in Place - Advancing Better Living for Elders)

Rebuilding Together Kansas City partners with Johns Hopkins School of Nursing’s CAPABLE (Community Aging in Place - Advancing Better Living for Elders) program. This program helps to ensure that seniors in our community have the resources they need to stay in their homes as long as possible, including tools for accessibility and mobility.

Rebuilding Day

Held each fall, Rebuilding Day is our flagship service event where hundreds of volunteers converge on multiple homes throughout the community for a one-day repair blitz. Homes are chosen from our current waitlist.
